Ten Proposed Policies to repair and restore America
Justifications for these ten policies are given below this list.

    1. Capitalism should be encouraged without the use of arbritrary tariffs and corporate welfare. Americans have the right to buy products and services at the same price as the rest of the world.

2. Cost-effective and productive government programs shall not be privatized or dismantled.

3. Affordable education is a right and should be provided for all.

4. Universal government healthcare is a right and should be provided for all.

5. Businesses that pollute must be taxed based on a publicly-available total cost analysis.

6. Businesses that have the word "News" in their title must use fact checking and broadcast accurate and relevant information. They do not have free speech rights.

7. Corporate contributions to campaigns must be stopped. Citizens United must be eliminated.

8. Supreme Court Justices that ignore the Constitution and the Law should resign or be impeached.

9. Citizens should be taxed according to their wealth.

10.  Individual freedoms that pose no threat to others are a constitutional right.


 


Justifications


We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all people are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Businesses are instituted among People, providing services and products for profit according to the will of the people in a free marketplace, --That whenever any Form of Business becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Businesses, Public or Private, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their Safety and Happiness. As such, large businesses do not have the right to control the people. Large businesses that control more wealth than some countries should not be permitted to control government actions with their wealth, and thus thwart the will of the people. It is the right, the responsibility, and the will of the people to enact the following ten policies:

 

1. Capitalism should be encouraged without the use of arbritrary tariffs and corporate welfare.
Americans have the right to buy products and services at the same price as the rest of the world.

“Businesses that cannot exist without tariffs and corporate welfare should be allowed to fail, with the exception of businesses that supply needed products and services that cannot be provided in a free market system.  A business in another country that produces a product at a lower cost than a US company should be allowed to sell their product without tariffs in the US. US businesses are encouraged to use automation to be competitive with countries that have a lower paid, low-skill workforce. For example, if American car companies cannot compete with foreign car companies, then they will be allowed to fail. Giving them corporate welfare or placing a tariff on foreign cars only encourages them to make inferior overpriced cars which increases inflation and harms consumers. Fairness in global trade should be supported. If another country can produce a product like lumber at a lower cost than the USA because it provides universal health care to its workers, then that country must be doing something right, and the USA should match that government program. Tariffs shall be used only to limit countries from engaging in destructive acts, like wars, environmental pollution and the use of child labor. These countries should have large world-wide tariffs applied to their products and services. These tariffs will be applied to repair the damages resulting from their destructive acts.”

2.  Cost-effective and productive government programs shall not be privatized or dismantled.

“The notion that government programs can’t compete with private institutions is a lie spread by the lobbyist of businesses that place profits above the needs of the public. Let government programs compete against private businesses in a free market system where the consumer decides which supplier, public or private, will best deliver needed products and services.”

3. Affordable education is a right and should be provided for all.

“Studies show that automation results in economic growth for CEOs, shareholders and skilled workers.  Unfortunately automation does eliminate low-skilled jobs so education programs are needed. Studies also show that funds for education and research offer significant returns on investment. Significant funds should be invested in education and research as justified by a publicly-available total-cost analysis performed by experts.”

4. Universal government healthcare is a right and should be provided for all.

“This should be immediately implemented in the US because it has been shown in other countries to be more cost effective than our current failing health care system. If middle-men private insurers and health institutions cannot compete with government programs, they should be allowed to fail.”

5. Businesses that pollute must be taxed based on a publicly-available total cost analysis.

“These taxes are used to fund the programs to repair pollution damage, both today and into the future. Furthermore, businesses in foreign countries that pollute will have a tariff applied to their products proportional to the cost of the damage resulting from their polluting practices. The goals of this policy is to fairly reduce the global warming problem and to pay for environmental disaster costs.”

6. Businesses that have the word "News" in their title must use fact checking and broadcast accurate and relevant information. They do not have free speech rights.

“The word “News” in a business name establishes a contract between the viewer and the broadcaster. This contract requires the broadcaster to fairly select and report honestly issues that are relevant to the user. A broadcaster that intentionally reports known lies that results directly or indirectly in damages, suffering or deaths should be sued in class action suits. In these suits, the broadcaster must prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they reported relevant news to the best of their abilities, and that there was no intention to mislead viewers.”

7. Corporate contributions to campaigns must be stopped. Citizens United must be eliminated.

“Citizens United is a law that allows the rich to buy elections. The opinions of a business CEO do not represent the opinions of a business’s employees. In a democratic society, businesses are fairly represented in elections by the individual votes of its workers, not by the opinion of one CEO trying to buy an election for his or her own gain.”

8. Supreme Court Justices that ignore the Constitution and the Law should resign or be impeached.

"Supreme Court Justices that ruled that anyone including a president is above the law should resign or be impeached. In America, the law must take precedence over the desires of dictators and oligarchs. Justices appointed by a criminal president who engaged in insurrection or rebellion should resign or be impeached. Trump's actions before and on the day of the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021 should deem him ineligible for office under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which disqualifies people who “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” after taking an oath to support the Constitution.”

9. Citizens should be taxed according to their wealth.

“The rich own more and utilize more government services than the poor, so they should be taxed at a higher rate than the poor. Tax rates should be determined by a publicly-available total-cost analysis performed by experts that maximizes the benefits to the people both in the short and long term.”

10.  Individual freedoms that pose no threat to others are a constitutional right.

 “This includes religion, race and gender issues. An individual’s freedom is limited only if it trespasses on the freedom of others. Freedom is what has made the US rich and powerful over the last century. By giving women and minorities the right to vote and contribute to society, democracies like the US have been more creative and productive than primitive dictatorships and oligarchies.”
